Beautification & BBQ Corps

Mission Statement

We seek to involve neighbors throughout Central San Jose in community projects, both large and small. We are open to all people and work in all neighborhoods in Central San Jose. We hope to build community pride, encourage participation and have fun. To strengthen our efforts, we believe in helping people outside our immediate neighborhood. We also value any contributions of time or expertise. No contribution is ever too small.

Past accomplishments

East San Carlos Street tree planting

Planting of 28 trees in the parking strips on both sides of San Carlos Street from 10th to 12th Streets. A general clean-up and bulb planting also were accomplished.

Roses, Roses, Roses!

Over 6,000 plants and 3,000 different varieties of roses make up the Heritage Rose Garden, the largest collection of heritage roses in the world! This garden is the latest addition to Guadalupe Gardens located between Guadalupe Parkway and Coleman Avenue in San Jose.

Coyote Creek Clean-Up

Imagine the debris build-up after last winter's rains! Thanks to the Beautification and Barbecue Corp, the Coyote Creek habitat is relatively free of liter and illegally dumped materials.

Plus many, many others...!
