DKB HOMES, a San Jose builder with over 28 years of experience is pleased to be offering an 84 home subdivision next to Olinder school and your neighborhood. We believe these outstanding single family homes will improve the immediate neighborhood, provide greatly needed housing for the downtown San Jose area and improve the general housing climate surrounding San Jose State University. We are currently experiencing a marketing problem with which we are hoping some of you may be able to help us. A large number of our weekend directional signs are being removed each weekend. These signs are allowed by law in San Jose to be up from Friday evening through Sunday each week while we are selling homes. While you may feel these signs are a nuisance in your neighborhood, they are instrumental in our ability to get potential home buyers to our houses. Buyers often see the newspaper ads for new homes but as they enter the surrounding neighborhoods they quickly become discouraged if they do not have good signage directing them to the subdivision. They simply leave the area and go elsewhere to find a new home. As an example of the importance of these signs, most of DKB subdivisions have 100 to 130 monthly visitors to a subdivision due to signs. Our average visitation numbers from these signs for Brookwood are about 50 people a month. The fewer people that visit, the longer DKB will be bothering you with this sign program. The sign company is working diligently to identify the disappearance of the directional signs, but we would greatly appreciate any assistance you might provide us in trying to stop this theft of signs. If you have any information or see someone removing the signs please call New Directions, at (408)778-3916. DKB and New Directions will greatly appreciate any assistance you can give.Donni Grotte, Marketing DirectorDKB Homes255 W. Julian StreetSan Jose CA 95110-2406(408)292-3524(408)292-0565 (FAX)
